.out of the dark

it´s been some time since I had time for another shooting, but last sunday I managed to spent some ours with lilian and we had a fun shooting together with some great outcome (as far as I can see)!

today I´m gonna share the first pic of that shooting with you!

I accidentally destroyed one of my strobos (left it lying in a puddle outside), so actually I was missing one light source for this one, but it still turned out to be a nice shot!

this time I tied to get an old look for a picture since the model on the picture was wearing a 20s dress from vecona vintage.

don´t know if I am 100% happy with the result, but I think it somehow looks kind of old like from the 20s.

hey there! it´s been some time since I last posted anything on my blog! I am currently busy as hell but finally I found some time to upload some pics I took at a rockabilly concert in kreativfabrik wiesbaden! it´s been already 2 weeks since the event but better late then never!

the event was quite nice, sine there was a tattoist, a barber, some shops and adam aka cylinderhead showing up and satisfying the audience with their stuff!

.buttercream vintage - modified

yesterday I found a great tutorial by christoph wesser, a munich photographer, who uses a special so called "buttercream vintage" look for his pictures.

I really like the style and so I went out with franziska for a spontaneous shooting in the fields with the purpose to use the buttercream vintage look on these pics when post processing them.

ok, I realized that the original buttercream vintage look needs to be adjustments to fit my ideas of it, so I came across with several modifications to the original look and I wanna show you my first results today!

Ok, so this is a shot that was made at the very end of our saturdays shooting! Janine wanted to get a picture done with her petrol dress, so we went downstairs and took this shot on the stairway of the building.

Today I show you something funny! The idea to this photo was born spontaneously while shooting with Veri. I realized that I had tons of crazy colored washing pads which I actually got for another shooting and together with Veri´s crazy hair, the idea of this shot was born!

Last thursday I had an interesting shooting with a friend of mine. We were actually planning to do a shooting for several weeks, even months, but somehow we never managed to get it done! Until now!

We arranged a quite spontaneous shooting with some simple portrait ideas in mind and actually the outcome of the whole shooting was quite surprising because we ended up with some more creative ideas than just a simple portrait shooting!

Also, it was the first time I worked with a visagist! Stella joined us and did a great job as you will see!

When Sarah and me started our shooting on tuesday, we went out for a while, even though it got already dark, but we still managed to get this shot, which I took at an abandoned building of the Deutsche Bahn (the German railway company).

This one looks very harsh and normally I wouldn´t cast that much shadows on a woman`s face, but somehow I like the look just because of that! :)

Unfortunately this one doesn´t show any smoke from the cigarette...
